If its not one thing then, it`s something else that comes along right?! I know that I've wanted to add a some more updated work to my gallery, but a full time job as well as an almost full time commitment to my local pipe band, means that I've got precious little time to do even that. The Canadians among you reading this know, that the week leading up to Remebrance Day can be pretty hecktic, then there's the actual day. Our group is involved in two parades that day, and today Saturday we were involved in the local Santa Clause parade. Both days ended up being pretty cold and tough on the bagpipes; mind you once your done for the season, your happy you bothered to participate in it. The next big slog for us will be getting ready for our 2012 trip to Scotland, to try and qualify at the Worlds Pipe Band Championships. So between this, my job, trying to learn French etc I then have to try and figure out time for when I can do art - any kind of art. I decided that I was going to go to Wallacks, at lunch time and buy some needed supplys for myself. I spent a pile buying some drawing books, a few decent coloured markers and some drawing marker sets - YEAH now I have to put a commitment to my art. I know my subjects, I know the kind of action "scenes" I want to create, it's time and like it or not if you love something enough, you've got to push yourself to set up 10 minutes here, a half an hour there, whatever. I want to thank all of you you've shown an interest in my work - even though alot of the work is over 10 yrs old. I also finally buckled down and got my membership to DA, I think I owed this community that much, after all we are basically and "artists colony" on line. The first time I got involved with this site, I couldn't believe all the different levels of talent, and the great thing is, there's guys like me, who'll never reach professional status, are just as welcomed to submit art, as the professionals among you. Add to this the great fact that we can keep in touch with all those among you who are professional talent - thats wickedly cool. I must go now, my "master" is meowing for her food, and her back massage - yes believe it or not there is a way to safely massage a cat's back - and shit, now she can't get enough of this. Take care all - be well and happya
